I visited Nice on the French Riviera at the end of November / beginning of December. Arriving after dark in the November afternoon I discovered something that was not there when we last visited the city ten years ago. Nice had gotten a tram or street car line. I just had to take some pictures and at the hotel we learnt from a local newspaper (in English) thet the tram line opend only days before. I have later heard from friends that it has taken some years of construction work to make the line possible. The speciality of this line is that part of it is without power line. The trams have batteries to empower them to run the parts of the line without external supply. The last pictures are from the east uptown end station, and the very last picture is just to prove that we also visited other places in the area than the tram line streets of Nice.
